SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A new study says that Huron is the most affordable place to live in South Dakota.
In the metro area, Harrisburg was ranked as the fourth most affordable South Dakota city and Brandon was fifth.
Sioux Falls ranked eighth, ahead of Aberdeen and Yankton for affordability.
SmartAsset put together the survey. The sixth annual study weighed factors, including taxes, homeowners’ insurance, and home costs relative to the local median income. Places where homeownership costs were lowest relative to the median income in each location were considered the most affordable.
