MADISON, S.D. (KELO.com) — City officials in Madison are considering not opening outdoor pools due to COVID-19.
Social-distancing rules advise no more than 10 people should utilize a facility at one time with those safety measures in place that would only allow a handful of people to use the swimming pool at one time.
City Officials were advised on Thursday by members of the Madison Park & Rec Board not to open the Aquatic Center in Westside Park.
Madison Parks and Rec board members voted 4-1 to recommend the Aquatic Center remain closed for the summer.
