SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — At 08:10 a.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2020, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue was dispatched to a report of a fully engulfed garage fire that was extending to the home. All residents were reported out of the home right away.
The first arriving fire crew found the garage fully involved in fire and the siding of the home was starting on fire as well. The next closest house was also in danger of starting fire as well. They confirmed that all residents were accounted for outside and across the street. Crews were able to knock down and extinguish the garage fire in 10 minutes. There was minimal fire damage inside the home, however smoke damage occurred throughout the home. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries reported on scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded with 5 fire trucks and 2 support vehicles, totaling 22 personnel on scene.
