BRANDON, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office were called to 261st and 483rd Ave, in rural Brandon, Sunday afternoon. Authorities were informed by a resident that a man had fired several shots at him. When the police arrived the 74-year-old man began firing at law officials. The man was later taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault, aggravated assault against law enforcement, and is reported to be on a mental illness hold.
