SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — About twenty people gathered on the sidewalk in front of the Sioux Falls City Hall to protest Mayor TenHaken’s proposed stay at home order at 10 a.m.
About a quarter of the participants were children.
The protestors were not wearing masks and many were closer than six feet apart.
Alan Gentry, the protest organizer, said his great grandfather didn’t fight in World War II against the Nazis to be told what he can and can’t do as an American.
He carried a sign that said, “Mayor Paul is doing the Reich thing.”
There were two police cruisers parked nearby. The gathering was peaceful.
