SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A member of the Sioux Falls Politics Facebook group is organizing a protest of the proposed stay at home order that passed the City Council’s first reading last night.
Alan Gentry posts that “if you believe in supporting our constitutional rights and believe this ordinance will be detrimental to our community,” he says to join a protest at 10 a.m. tomorrow outside of City Hall. See the posting above.
Sioux Falls Politics is a closed group that is publicly viewable of about 1,700 members of all political persuasions who comment on local government issues in Sioux Falls.
Like last night’s City Council meeting, comments about a possible city-wide stay at home order have been heated. A couple of users were banned for name-calling and spreading incorrect COVID-19 and another for posting a Nazi-themed meme.
Most of the people who testified about the proposed stay at home order last night at Carnegie Town Hall were against it and had businesses.
