SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Sioux Falls School District will send out a survey to high school seniors on the graduation situation.
Schools Chief Brian Maher wants more feedback in case traditional graduations can’t happen because of the COVID-19 crisis. The survey will ask a range of questions.
“If we can’t have it May would you still want a face-to-face in June, or something like that.”
Maher has been talking to selected seniors, but the survey will try to build a fuller picture of what the kids are thinking.
Dr. Maher is also looking and planning ahead to the start of the new school year in the fall.
“I sure hope that by August 20 or something we are ready to go as normal, but who knows?”
So the District is working on contingency plans, just in case. What do later options for opening look like? Should remote learning continue in the fall?
