SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Besides not being able to attend Easter services in person and having to stay home because of the coronavirus, the Sioux Falls area saw snow and wind last night and into the early afternoon today.
As of 1 p.m., the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls said the airport had received 5.6 inches of snow.
About 12 miles south of FSD, Harrisburg unofficially had about six inches of snow.
The Winter Storm Warning for the Sioux Falls area expires at 4 p.m.
As of 3 p.m., the NWS said most of the snow was moving out of eastern South Dakota but bands remained in northwest Iowa and southwest Minnesota.
The weather service says there’s a 30% chance of snow along with wind this evening in the Sioux Falls area. They say expect sunny skies then snow showers and breezy Monday with a high of 34.
