SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Despite the coronavirus, local governmental bodies are still meeting.
- SIOUX FALLS SCHOOL BOARD
The Sioux Falls School Board meets Monday at 5:30 pm at the Instructional Planning Center.
The board has an agenda heavy with a number of policy reviews on items affecting teachers and students.
They’ll also discuss the Superintendent’s Math Curriculum Adoption Report and the Workforce Development and Career Exposure Report.
- LINCOLN COUNTY COMMISSION
The Lincoln County Commissioners meet Tuesday at 8:30 am at the county commission meeting room in Canton.
They are scheduled to discuss authorizing a Joint Election Agreement between Lincoln County and the City of Sioux Falls.
The commission will also consider courthouse air quality Improvement and reorganization of the communications department.
- MINNEHAHA COUNTY COMMISSION
The Minnehaha County Commissioners meet Tuesday at 9 am at the county commission meeting room.
They will consider a number of reports on the Covid-19 situation. Commissioners will hear from the Sheriff, the State’s Attorney, Auditor, Treasurer and Register of Deeds on actions needed regarding the coronavirus.
The commission will also consider potentially closing county parks.
The public can view the meeting on cable Channel 16.
- SIOUX FALLS CITY COUNCIL
The Sioux Falls City Council meets Wednesday at 7 pm at Carnegie Town Hall.
The council will have first reading of an ordinance setting the postponed joint city of Sioux Falls and Sioux Falls School District election date for Tuesday June 2nd.
It would also authorize a joint election with Minnehaha and Lincoln Counties.
They will also consider concurring with the county on several abatement requests.
