SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Salvation Army is in need of some help.
With more people out of work due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Salvation Army is looking for donations of non-perishable food items and other items.
Marcie Priestley says the organization saw an increase of 75% more people walking through the door just last week to utilize the food pantry.
Another big need right now is hygiene items.
If you would like to donate non-perishable foods or hygiene products, Priestley says to call 605-332-2331 before coming out.
The organization will set up a time when you can drop off the donations at the dock doors at the 900 N. Cliff Ave building in Sioux Falls.

If you find yourself needing help, Priestley recommends calling 211 for assistance the Helpline will be able to direct you based on what your needs are.
