SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — In South Dakota, apparently too many young people aren’t taking coronavirus seriously enough.
Twelve of the state’s 58 cases are among those aged 29 and younger. Ten of those 12 are people in their twenties.
Of the 58 cases, 21 have recovered and 1 person has died.
Sixteen of the cases are people in their 50’s.
Nineteen counties have coronavirus victims, including 18 cases in Minnehaha County; 16 in Beadle County and 3 in Pennington County. The remaining counties (including Brookings, Codington, Davison, Lincoln, McCook, and Union) have 1 to 2 cases each.
Minnesota has 398 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including one in Lincoln County. There have been 180 recoveries and 4 deaths.
Iowa has 235 cases of coronavirus and 3 deaths. There are three cases in Woodbury County and 2 in Sioux County. The state doesn’t seem to publish information on recoveries. We are seeking that answer.
