SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Good news, of the 14 confirmed cases reported prior to this weekend, six have fully recovered, Noem shared at a Sunday press conference. Though this weekend has seen a spike in confirmed cases in South Dakota, the governor reassured the public that this increase was expected.
“Our goal was to slow this down and to make sure it gave us time to have our healthcare providers ready to handle and care for individuals that would become positive. And we have been successful at doing that,” Noem said.
As of March 22nd, seven new confirmed cases have been reported. Six of which are out of Beadle County, one being out of Brown County. Ages ranged from 10-69 in the Beadle County cases, with the one Brown County case being a male between the age of 60-69.
