SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Some snow-covered stoplights that face north are obstructed from yesterday’s snowstorm.
One KELO Radio employee saw vehicle blowing through Sioux Falls intersections because the red lights facing north were obscured.
He also knows of at least one accident caused by the covered lights.
Temperatures won’t get above 28 degrees today in Sioux Falls according to the National Weather Service. The fact that the north-facing lights won’t get much solar heating from the sun today and many lights are now cooler burning LED lights, the snow won’t likely melt until warmer temperatures or they are cleaned.
