SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The daughter of the woman stabbed to death in Sioux Falls on Sunday says that her father killed her mother.

Police say that Akoat Mater, 39, was stabbed numerous times in northern Sioux Falls, after an argument with Josephdeng Aganj Mamot, 50, of Yankton.
“My mom was selfishly taken from us by my father. She was a kind person with the biggest heart, she loved everyone so much and anyone who knew her would say how good of a person she is,” writes Akual Mamot on the GoFundMe Page.
Sioux Falls Police Spoksman Sam Clemens says domestic violence is hard to stop.
“I wish that there was something we could say or do to mitigate domestic assault, domestic violence because it affects everybody.”
Aganj Mamot has been charged with Murder in the First Degree, Murder Second, and two counts of Manslaughter in the First Degree.
