MITCHELL, S.D. (KELO.com) — Some changes are in store when Dakota Wesleyan University’s spring break ends on Monday due to the threat of the COVID-19 virus.
That’s the word from DWU President Amy Novak. They are suspending traditional face-to-face classes. Novak says all classes will be offered online for two weeks beginning Monday.
She says given the fourteen-day incubation period for COVID-19 the break should ensure any of the returning students shouldn’t be bringing the virus back to campus if they were carriers.
She says general university business operations will continue as normal.
The University has also canceled a number of upcoming events including the South Central Science and Engineering Fair, the DWU Student Leadership Conference and the Spring Wellness presentation.
