SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Here are some of today’s big cases from the files of the Sioux Falls Police Department.
- PARENTS PASS OUT WITH BABY IN THE CAR
A Sioux Falls couple is in jail on a number of drug and related charges.
They both passed out at a gas station at Minnesota and Russell–with a one-year-old baby in the car.
Both needed several doses of Narcan to bring them to.
Nikita Marie Hammer, 21, and Dominiq Michael Winstead, 22, both of Sioux Falls, face drug charges and abuse or cruelty to a minor under 7.
The baby was unharmed.
- FIRST A FIGHT THEN SHOTS
Sioux Falls Police responded to first a fight–then gunshots–near 10th and Phillips early yesterday morning.
When police first arrived, they couldn’t find the suspect who started the fight.
Soon thereafter, they heard gunshots.
The suspect fled and dropped his weapon but police caught up.
David Anthony Burton, 28, from Sioux Falls faces a reckless discharge of a firearm, being in possession of a firearm while under the influence, and for several outstanding warrants.
