SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Discovery of the Emerald Ash Borer in Sioux Falls prompted the Parks & Recreation Department to remove a number of ash trees from the cities park system. In an effort to Releaf Sioux Falls, the Parks and Recreation team is asking for volunteers to help celebrate National Arbor Day by planting 500 trees across 37 pre-selected parks in Sioux Falls this April.
Planting Day takes place on April 24th and 25th, it is part of National Volunteer Week.
