SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls businessman T. Denny Sanford is one of the top philanthropists in the U.S., according to a new report.
Sanford ranked eighth on The Chronicle of Philanthropy’s annual list of the biggest donors to charity.
Sanford donated over half a billion dollars in 2019, according to the magazine. He made a $350 million donation to California-based National University in October. The university was renamed in his honor.
Presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg was number one on the list.
