SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The special task force looking at new school boundary options for the Sioux Falls School District has completed its meetings.
“Thank you for your hard work. I know we maybe haven’t agreed on everything, but we’ve kept the conversation more than civil,” says task force member, Kent Alberty, in a final shoutout to his fellow members.
Now the school boundary options will be taken to the public – in a series of five open meetings beginning in March:
March 12, 5:30-6:30, at Memorial Middle School.
March 16, 5:30-6:30, Patrick Henry Middle School
March 26, 5:30-6:30, Whittier Middle School
April 7, 5:30-6:30, McGovern Middle School
April 9, 5:30-6:30, Edison Middle School.

Changing boundary lines can be a ticklish process because parents and kids like their schools, but it must be done because a new high school and middle school are set to open next year.
