SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — City Council Theresa Stehly has ended weeks of speculation and announced for re-election today.
In a flyer announcing her running for a second four-year term she said, “I will be running a positive, grassroots campaign, continuing my emphasis on citizen advocacy. . . .”

Stehly said she’ll be focusing her advocacy efforts on government transparency, spending accountability, strengthening the police department, the city government being more responsive to citizens’ concerns, and maintaining city infrastructure.”
There currently is one declared opponent, Alex Jensen, who has already filed his nominating petitions. As of 2:50 p.m. today, Stehly had not yet filed her statement of organization.
