SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Around 11 pm Tuesday evening there was a fire alarm activation at Sanford Hospital.
There was a small fire located in a lower level maintenance room according to Sioux Falls Fire Marshall Dean Lanier.
Lanier says there was minor damage but a single sprinkler head activated and effectively controlled the fire in the maintenance room.
Smoke was noticed in other areas of the hospital that was the cause of the evacuations of some patients.
