SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — From the files of the Sioux Falls Police, here are the highlights of today’s briefing.
- WOMAN ACCUSED IN BABY’S DEATH BONDS OUT OF JAIL
The woman accused of manslaughter in the death of a 9-month-old boy in a daycare has bonded out of jail.
Sioux Falls Police say Kayla Jean Styles met the $25,000 cash or surety bond.
She’s also charged with cruelty or abuse of a minor.
- WRONG WAY + DRUGS + NO DRIVER’S LICENSE = JAIL
A Sioux Falls woman who drove the wrong way down 10th Street early this morning (Wednesday) also gets popped for drugs and no driver’s license.
Lydia Consuelo Torres, 46, drove east in the westbound lane of 10th Street.
Police found a straw with traces of meth on it.
She faces drug charges as well as driving the wrong way and not having a driver’s license.
