SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Firefighters aren’t sure what caused a house in northeast Sioux Falls to catch fire Monday afternoon.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue says six trucks and 26 firefighters were sent to 3105 N. Fiero Place at about noon.
The home’s residents made it out of the house unharmed but four dogs and two ferrets were killed.
Firefighters put out ‘hot spots’ at the house for five hours, working in shifts because of the freezing temperatures.
