SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Rana DeBoer officially starts as the City’s first Chief Culture Officer on Monday.
Among DeBoer’s new responsibilities are addressing employee turnover by fostering better employee engagement and administering programs that cultivate the next generation of leaders at the City.
With nearly 250 of the City’s 1,300 employees expected to retire by 2024, Mayor Paul TenHaken says he recognizes an immediate need for a position dedicated to employee recruitment and retention.
