SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A Sioux Falls man is starting a 20-year prison sentence on a charge of distributing fentanyl.
Authorities say 58-year-old Michael Wayne Cooper sold fentanyl to a person in Sioux Falls who later overdosed on the drug before being given a lifesaving naloxone injection by first responders.
Prosecutors say Cooper had been distributing illegal drugs since about 2015. He was arrested last October.
