SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Senator Mike Rounds is chuckling over the implied threat by Nancy Pelosi not to send the Trump impeachment articles over to the U.S. Senate.
“It’s kinda like saying: don’t move or I’ll shoot my own ear off.”
Rounds tells Kelo Radio’s Greg Belfrage Show that it’s alright with him if Nancy Pelosi doesn’t send over the impeachment articles.
“Look, you don’t want to send them over, that’s fine with us, go right ahead, because we have things we’re trying to get done.”
If the articles ever get over to the Senate, John Thune says that President Trump will be afforded a “fair and equal” opportunity to participate in the trial. He says the Senate will approach the process with the “seriousness and fairness” it deserves.
