SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A 30-member task force has been appointed to go about the ticklish task of recommending new school boundaries in Sioux Falls.
With the new high school and middle school, attendance zones will have to change.
But folks like their home schools, so this can be an emotional process.
There will also be public hearings early next year.
The School District’s Doug Morrison says task force members are from all over the city.
“We’ve got a great slate of task members that represent not only geographically, but other just representation of the community.”
Here are the Boundary Task Force members:
Kent Alberty, Deana Barth, Cory Begley, Dzenan Berberovic, Kobi Berscheid, James Burzynski, John Claussen, Tony Erickson, Eric Fahrendorf, Amy Foster, Kara Hale, Hannah Heyd, Megan Jansick, Megann Joyce, Paul Kreun, Angela Lammers, Jean Melton, Denis Miller, Seth Neuharth, Stephanie Witte, Emily Nilson, Anthony Pizer, Joe Stavig, Jessica Stienstra, Linda Struder, Rochelle Syndor Kahl, Lindsay Tarnowski, Sam Trebilock, Ron Waltman, and Anita Wetsch.
Morrison says the goal is to have new school boundaries in place by August of 2021.
