SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — There have been at least 65 vehicles reported stolen in Sioux Falls in November.
Police Sgt. Sean Kooistra was curious after several stolen vehicles were reported over a matter of days, to research what the entire month was looking like.
“That number was a little shocking to me. When I looked at it, I had to confirm those, because that is a lot. 65 vehicles stolen within this month is a lot of vehicles.”
Kooistra says in most cases, the keys had been left inside.
He says one of the best ways to increase the odds that your vehicle won’t be stolen, is to simply remove your keys.
One of the latest stolen vehicles is a Dodge Ram truck that rammed into two garages. It barreled between two houses near 16th and Marion Road, doing much damage to the garages.
At last check, that driver was still missing.
