SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Former South Dakota Senator and Sioux Falls City Councilor Kermit Staggers passed away early Thursday morning.
Staggers’ political career included eight years in the South Dakota Senate and another 12 years on the Sioux Falls City Council.
He taught government and history at the University of Sioux Falls for more than 30 years.
Staggers was 72.
