SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A strong winter storm arrives today, bringing moderate to heavy snow and blowing snow through early Wednesday morning.
Strong north winds of 20 to 30 mph are expected, with gusts as high as 40 – 50 mph. Highest wind gusts are expected late tonight into Wednesday.
The main impacts are limited visibilities, areas of blowing and drifting snow and snow-covered/slippery roads.
Hazardous to potentially impossible travel conditions are expected later this afternoon and overnight. Snow will come to an end from southwest to northeast after midnight.
