SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The TV advertisement for the prescription drug Jardiance featuring a marching band director also features the slogan “on it.”
South Dakota last week unveiled its new anti-meth campaign slogan, “Meth. We’re on it.”
The Jardiance website says:
- “JARDIANCE is a prescription medicine used along with diet and exercise to lower blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes, and also to reduce the risk of cardiovascular death in adults with type 2 diabetes who have known cardiovascular disease.”
In the TV spot, “Audrey” is a marching band director who takes Jardiance. She and the copy for the ad says at the beginning:
- “(Announcer) Managing Type II diabetes? Audrey’s on it. Eating right? (Audrey) On it! (Announcer) Staying active? (Audrey) On it!”

At the beginning and the toward the end of South Dakota’s public service announcement, people from various walks of life say in some form that they are on meth or “Meth. I’m on it.” Here’s an excerpt:
- “(Man) I’m on meth. (Woman) I’m on meth. (Girl) I’m on it too.”

The Jardiance ad started airing last summer, the anti-meth PSA started last week.
