SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) —
After so many romaine lettuce e-coli outbreaks over the last few years…
and hearing that a Minnesota resident has been sickened
recently by the same…how do you know which Romaine lettuce is currently safe,
and which is not? U.S. health officials say to avoid eating Romaine lettuce grown
in the Salinas, California region and to avoid Romaine lettuce
whose packaging does not say where it came from. The growing season in Salinas
is from April to November. Growing starts in Yuma, Arizona in November.
