SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Some of the more interesting crimes noted at today’s Sioux Falls Police briefing.
POLICE LOOKING FOR A MAN IN A VAN
Sioux Falls Police are looking for a white man driving a white van who approached two pre-teen girls yesterday night near 10th and Covell.
Police say one of the girls said the man stopped at a stop sign and talked to him. That girl said the man was trying to get them into their van.
The other girl said she couldn’t understand the man and he was mumbling.
BEAUTY SHOP FLASHER
Police are also looking for a man who exposed himself outside of a beauty salon.
The incident occurred about 10 a.m. yesterday near 26th and Sertoma.
The flasher is described as a black man in his 20s and about six feet tall.
HOLIDAYS DO NOT EQUAL MORE CRIME
Sioux Falls Police spokesman Sam Clemens says Sioux Falls Police aren’t much busier during the holiday season than they are the rest of the year.
He says there’s no great increase in crime between Thanksgiving and New Years.
STILL LOOKING FOR. . .
Police are still looking for several suspects in some recent high profile crimes or incidents.
The police say there’s nothing new to report on the search for two suspects involved in an October homicide near Club David.
There’s no new information about the baby that died after being taken from a local home daycare.
And there’s no movement yet on the whereabouts of the man and woman involved in an armed robbery at a central Sioux Falls apartment.
