SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — As the US Senate considers a temporary spending bill to keep the federal government open, Sen. Mike Rounds says he’ll vote no.
The House passed a Continuing Resolution, or CR, Tuesday. Rounds said on a Tuesday night teleconference his colleagues should get to work on a new budget.
“CRs are a waste of taxpayer dollars,” Rounds said. “Merely rubber-stamping what we did with previous years’ spending simply isn’t the way to go.”
Rounds also pushed Democrats to pass the United States-Mexico Canada Agreement.
