SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Fire Rescue released a statement concerning the house explosion on Thursday.
No one was in the house at the time of the explosion and the cause of the structural collapse is currently under investigation.

At 02:50 pm November 14, 2019, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded to a report of a structural collapse at 1416 E 6th Street.
First arriving units confirmed a one story residential house which appeared to have been involved in an explosion. There was very little smoke or fire present. A search crew was formed and no occupants were found inside the house. Crews remained on scene for a couple of hours assisting utility companies as an investigation began.
There were no civilian or firefighter injuries reported on scene. The cause of the structural collapse is currently under investigation.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded with 27 personnel, 6 fire trucks and 4 support vehicles. Sioux Falls Fire Rescue would like to thank Metro Communications, Sioux Falls Police Department, Patient Care Ambulance, MidAmerican Energy, and Excel Energy for their assistance on scene.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue would like to remind citizens to practice Fire Safety throughout the holiday season. Specifically, to be aware of and not leave cooking unattended, keep indoor Christmas trees watered, and only to use approved space heaters.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A small house has collapsed from a possible explosion in the 1400-block of E. Sixth Street in Sioux Falls.
Fire/Rescue says two nearby homes may also have been damaged.
It’s unclear if anyone was inside the house. Authorities will be searching.
A small number of homes in the area have been evacuated.
