SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Tis the season to steal packages off your door step.Sioux Falls Police say there were three thefts of packages from homes yesterday (Tuesday) in far west Sioux Falls.All the reports came in about 4 p.m.Police say the crooks are hard to catch as there are usually no witnesses. That is unless the homeowner has a security system or a ring doorbell that records video.
Sgt. Paul Creviston has some tips on how to thwart the bad guys:
1. Ask a neighbor to get your packages off your door step.
2. If you workplace allows it, have your packages shipped to work.
3. If the business has the service, schedule the delivery for when you are home.
