SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Trail Ridge Senior Living Community is hosting its 20th annual Salute to Veterans this Monday (Veterans Day).
The festivities begin at 7 a.m., where the community will provide a special made-to-order breakfast for all veterans living at Trail Ridge.
At 1:15 p.m. the organization will unveil a new mural honoring veterans painted by Dave Fuller, a local artist famous for his murals of high school mascots in South Dakota.
At 2 p.m., retired Maj. Gen. Stephen Doohen will give a speech honoring veterans. Doohen is the former head of the South Dakota National Guard.
Doohen will be joined by members of the Lincoln High School Junior ROTC and veterans’ families for the public event.
