SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A man sits in jail after threatening a convenience store clerk over a pack of cigarettes.
Gabriel Gene Sanchez Virelo, 30, a transient, looked like he was reaching for a hammer, according to the clerk at the 57th and Cliff store.
That was at about 11 p.m. last night.
Then later, he was at a convenience store at 41st and Sycamore.
Police found a hammer on him–and that he had stolen a car.
The man is charged with robbery and theft.
