VALLEY SPRINGS, SD, (KELO.com)– About 20 hogs were killed when the trailer they were being transported in tipped over Friday afternoon near Valley Springs.
Officials say19-year-old Jerad Dean Kats of Boyden, Iowa failed to stay in his own lane and overturned the trailer that held 165 hogs.
Kats was cited by authorities and was uninjured during the accident.
