SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Around 3:45 Friday morning, Sioux Falls police responded to a traffic crash in the area of W. 41st St. and S. Ellis Rd.
A vehicle struck a power pole causing damage and creating a power outage for a portion of southwest Sioux Falls affecting almost 5000 Xcel customers.
The driver fled the scene and the investigation is on-going.
Xcel Energy says power should be restored by 9:30 am.
