SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Street construction update.
Street Closure – Vail Drive
Beginning on Monday morning, October 14, 2019, North Vail Drive will be closed at East Madison Street. Traffic will be detoured using Vail Drive and Sycamore Avenue.
Midwest Excavating will be performing utility work.
This work is anticipated to be completed by October 21, 2019.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Lane Closures – Eighth Street
Beginning on Monday morning, October 14, 2019, the westbound parking and driving lane of East Eighth Street will be closed between North Phillips Avenue and North Cherapa Place and Westbound traffic will be shifted into the center turn lane. Immediately following this closure, the eastbound parking and driving lane will be closed with eastbound traffic shifted into the center turn lane.
Xcel Energy will be relocating utilities.
This work for both westbound and eastbound lane closures is anticipated to be completed in approximately two weeks.
