SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Social Security Administration announced this week that 69 million Americans will receive a Cost of living adjustment in 2020.
The increase of 1.6% will begin in January 2020 for those receiving Social Security benefits.
Increased payments to the 8 million people on Supplemental Security Income benefits will begin on December 31.
Those living on Social Security and SSI will be notified by mail in December about the increase and how much they will receive.
