SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A man arrested for meth hiding out in a field had to contend with suspicious kids, a neighborhood Facebook page, and the Sioux Falls Police.
Police say six and nine-year-old girls were playing in a field near North Todd Place yesterday afternoon.
They saw a guy crouched in the weeds.
The nine year old yelled at him.
The girls say the guy then started walking toward them quickly so they ran home.
A notice went up on the neighborhood Facebook page about a suspicious person in the area.
Police then found Gorden Ray Hoag near the 700 block of North Bluebell Circle.
They arrested him for possession of meth and paraphernalia.
He told police he had smoked meth about four or five hours before encountering the girls.
