SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Mayor Paul TenHaken warns citizens to stay off Sioux Falls streets because of tornado and storm damage, downed power lines, and first responders needing to get through.
Also, he asks that residents do not call 9-1-1 unless it is an actual emergency. TenHakens says calls are backed up at Metro Communications.
He also admonishes citizens to not go looking at storm damage. You will only be in the way of first responders and people who need help.
TenHaken is at the City’s Emergency Operations Center.
He also asks that you “say a prayer for our city.”
