SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — It’s a shaggy dog story that turned into animal abuse, possession of a gun while drunk, and trying to bribe a police officer.
Citizens called the police to report a man hitting his dogs and throwing one of them over the fence at the Spencer Dog Park last night (Monday).
When police arrived, they gave Cameron Charles Graves-Vandemore, 25, from Sioux Falls, a breathalyzer test.
Authorities say he tested at .28, which is three and a half times the amount for driving while intoxicated.
They checked his car and found a gun and a bottle of Fireball.
Then on the way to jail, authorities say Graves-Vandemore tried to bribe the cops to let him go.
The dogs, a Siberian Husky and a German Shepherd, were not seriously injured.
