SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Sioux Falls School District has sent a special email message to parents about toy guns.
Just a few days into the new school year and they’ve already dealt with their first toy gun incident, brought to a school in a backpack.
The District is reminding parents that anything resembling a weapon is not allowed on school property and carries significant discipline consequences.
“While no one was ever in danger in this situation, it is a good time to talk with your child about safety expectations,” the email message says, “remind them to “See something, Say something” any time they feel uncomfortable. By working together, we can keep student safety as our top priority.
