SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Street construction update:
Lane Closure Switch – 57th Street
Beginning on Thursday, August 22, 2019, the two westbound lanes of West 57th Street will be reduced to one lane to allow for water main work in the intersection of 57th Street and Tennis Lane.
The project consists of removal and replacement of pavement along Tennis Lane from West 57th Street to Louise Avenue, and along 51st Street from Oxbow Avenue to Tennis Lane. Watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and sump pump collection improvements will also be performed. ADA compliant sidewalk ramps will be constructed at the street intersections as a part of the project.
The work in the intersection is anticipated to be completed in approximately two weeks.
The project is intended to be complete by the fall of 2019.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
