SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The iconic neon Bob’s Cafe sign has been taken down in Sioux Falls.
The new owner, Shane Sutherland, the Hillbillies Repurpose Project Center, posted a video on Facebook of the sign being removed, piece by piece.
He says it’s for sale.
“If you’re looking for big, old, beautiful pieces of neon from Sioux Falls, let me know.”
The historic sign has towered over the old broasted chicken/burger business for decades, but it’s got to go. The restaurant is in another part of town, and the plan is to put a casino on the site on West 12th Street.
