SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) – Severe weather rolled through the area Saturday night into Sunday morning.
The National Weather Service says that reports of heavy rain, downed trees and power lines, and hail came from spotters and social media in South Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa.
Hail ranged from .50 inch to 2 inches in size across south-central to east-central South Dakota, and far northeast Nebraska and northwest Iowa.
Wind gusts from 55 to 65 mph were widespread across the area, with downed trees in Windom, Minnesota, and Sibley and Okoboji, Iowa.
Heavy rain was reported in Murray and Lyon Counties in Minnesota, with 1.46 inches in Currie to 3.56 inches in Tracy.
