SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Several streets were shut down in Sioux Falls Tuesday night during a domestic assault investigation.
Sioux Falls Police were called to a home near East 7th Street and North Mable Avenue at 8:25 Tuesday night.
Officers backed away from the residence due to threats by the suspect.
A female came out of the residence. The male refused to exit.
No names have been released due to the ongoing investigation.

On 8-6-2019 at approximately 8:25 pm officers from the Sioux Falls Police Department were investigating a domestic assault near E. 7th Street and N. Mable Avenue. Officers were attempting to contact a suspect and they ended up backing away from the residence due to threats made by the suspect. After establishing that a female victim was possibly still in the residence communication was attempted with the suspect and victim. After several minutes of asking for the suspect to exit the residence, a female walked out and spoke with officers. A male suspect refused to exit the residence and it was determined nobody else was in the residence. Several streets in the neighborhood were shut down during this incident. At this time no names are being released as the investigation is ongoing.
